Broadway at 60th Street New York, NY 10019Hyuna Park is an award-winning jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader from South Korea based in New York City. Winner of the International Women in Jazz (IWJ) Festival and the Jimmy Heath Award, she is recognized for her energetic, hard-swinging performances and distinctive compositions that seamlessly blend straight-ahead jazz, classical influences, and Korean folk traditions. *The New York City Jazz Record* hailed her as "a fresh new voice as a player and composer." Park leads the Hyuna Park Trio and co-leads ensembles with Grammy Award-winning trombonist Luis Bonilla and bassist Martin Pizzarelli. She regularly performs with acclaimed jazz artists including Jerry Bergonzi, Vincent Herring, Danny Jonokuchi and 2025 Guggenheim Fellow John Yao. As a recording artist, Park has appeared on more than two dozen albums. Her latest release, “Her Morning Waltz,” has earned widespread acclaim for its originality, lyricism, and expressive depth, further establishing her as a extraordinary voice in contemporary jazz. Inspired by the artistry of Kenny Kirkland and Mulgrew Miller, award-winning pianist Hyuna Park creates music that is swinging, witty, and adventurous. Her trio performs original compositions infused with influences from Korean folk traditions alongside fresh interpretations of jazz standards. Throughout the engagement, the band will be joined by a rotating lineup of special guests including Swiss Trombonist Amadis Dunkel. Note: Friday night features an open Jam Session with a to be announced host, where musicians of all levels are invited to join the stage. Thursday and Saturday are featured performances only. -
